Objectives for General Information Section

At the completion of this training the trainee will be able to:

• Identify the procedures for entering TA-53.
  
• Recognize the proper response to a main gate alarm when you are exiting TA-53.
  
• Recognize the proper steps to take to “stop work” for safety or security concerns.
  
• Recognize the general controls for hazards found in most experimental areas at TA-53
  
• Recognize the correct response to an alarm on a Portal Monitor (Lujan) or Personal Contamination Monitor (PCM)(WNR).
  
• Identify the correct response to an abnormal event or emergency.
  
• Identify the requirements for shipping, transferring or receiving radioactive material at TA-53.
  
• Recognize your responsibility for proper waste management.
